EAGLE
PHOTOS...
If you're intested in eagle photos, then you will want to spend time in Don Johnson's and Keith Wedoe's
photo galleries. On their pages you will find some of the best shots available of
the American Bald Eagle. The photos are taken annually as the Eagle's make the
RiverBend their home for the winter, dining on fish along the Mississippi River. They soar
above the bluffs between Alton and Pere Marquette all winter long.

ON THE RIVERFRONT...
FIREWORKS ON THE MISSISSIPPI is the Fourth of July
Celebration held in Riverfront Park in downtown Alton. Each year RiverBend 2000
publishes photos from the artist's. Again, different perspectives of the same events
provide some great shots. Keith
Wedoe's fireworks photos of the 1999 show were taken with the
Clark Bridge as the backdrop. Paul's fireworks photos of the 1998
show are framed by downtown Alton and his 1999
photos were taken from Christian Hill, west of the Clark Bridge.
THE LOVEJOY MONUMENT SOARS over the
skyline of Alton, visible as you enter town from the Clark Bridge. Lovejoy was
murdered because of his anti-slavery views. Click Here
