Arizona governor signs toughest immigration law

Now that the Governor of Arizona has signed the new state immigration law, the ridicule begins.  Obama calls the law misguided.  The usual suspects are clamoring  in the form of The Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund and the ACLU, who plan legal challenges to the law.  There are 460,000 illegal immigrants in Arizona, but Obama had this to say:

“That includes, for example, the recent efforts in Arizona, which threaten to undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans, as well as the trust between police and their communities that is so crucial to keeping us safe,” Obama said.

Fairness?  How is it fair to those immigrants here legally?  Why aren’t the Unions screaming to get rid of the illegals?  Think of all the wages they could control?  Fair pay for a fair days work.  How many jobs are out there for legal residents of the country? How is it fair to the police, EMT’s, and hospitals that are strained by illegal immigrants?  How is it fair to the families of those killed by illegal immigrants?  How is it fair the citizens of Arizona pay for almost a half million criminals in their schools, emergency rooms, and social programs?  How is it fair for Arizonans to fear being killed just walking their property?  The communities have lost all trust in a Federal Government that handcuffs law enforcement officers and forces them to look the other way when it comes to criminals.  Arizona stepped up and passed the legislation the officers need to serve their community in a safe, effective manner.
